Homemade Teriyaki Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup gluten free low sodium tamari
  • 1 tsp. chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger (or 2 tsp. chopped fresh ginger)
  • 1 clove garlic (small)
  • 6 pitted Medjool dates

Instructions

  • Add the ingredients to a high-speed blender in the order listed.
  • Begin blending at the lowest speed and increase to the highest speed.
  • Mix on high for approximately 1 minute.
  • Use immediately or store in a glass container for up to one week in the refrigerator.

Notes

Recipe makes about 1.5 cups. Serving size is about 2 Tablespoons.
